Mustard
Mustard is sensitive to sulphur and boron. Urvar's program strengthens early growth and boosts flowering and pod formation with targeted boron and humic inputs.

What to apply, and when
Stage timing comes from agricultural-university research (cited). Doses are Urvar's own label doses, shown per katha with bigha and acre equivalents.

Land preparation & sowing
BCKV trials at Kalyani sowed mustard in mid-November. Half the nitrogen and all of the phosphorus and potassium go in at final land preparation.

Pre-flowering
The pre-flowering foliar spray is given at 45 days after sowing. In BCKV trials, foliar boron gave the second-highest oil content (38.7%), after sulphur.

A second foliar spray is given at siliqua initiation, 60 days after sowing.

When over 80% of pods turn yellow2
Maturity
The crop is mature when more than 80% of the siliquae on sampled plants have turned yellow.

Spot it, fix it
General symptoms that apply across crops. Confirm with a soil or leaf test before treating.3
Growing points develop abnormally; the tips become stunted and die, and flowers and fruits may abort.
Growth is slow and stunted, and older leaves turn purple, especially on the underside.

Common questions
How do I convert a per-katha dose to bigha or acre?
Multiply by 20 for a West Bengal bigha (1 bigha = 20 katha), or by about 60.5 for an acre. Every dose on this page already shows all three.
